Easy
You move the target on the ground to designate the impact point of the ball.
Additionaly you can precisely modify the curving of the arrow itself. Doing so will remove or add some strenght to the throw.
Once you are satisfied with your settings you can throw the ball.
It will land on the impact point then roll.
Find the right angle and try to shoot another ball and take its place! Or try to sneak up between the other team balls and stick to the Jack.
But be careful! If the target is far away it will start jiggling!

The balls
In Petank Party you can choose between more than 30 different balls!
Each player can choose the appearance of its balls.
For example you can choose typical shiny metal balls, or "disco" balls, or "planet Earth" balls,
or "soccer" balls, or "skull" balls, and many others.
Each team balls have their own litte colored ring so you can tell them apart.
A firey orange ring for "Team Orange" and an icy blue ring for "Team Blue".
It's easy to know which balls have the point since these balls have a floating animated yellow star on top.
This picture shows "Team Blue" winning with two of its balls the closest to the jack.

The players are then free to choose when and on which ball they want to use these effects during the round.
Only one effect is given per round on simple game (one vs one).
Two effects are given for each team on doubles and triples games (2 vs 2, and 3 vs 3).

Provence Villa
This is a typical petanque pitch setup in the backyard;
a nice sea view, the peaceful sound of the fountain, some benches to take a nap, it's all
laid back here.
The pitch itself is just about right with a ground that is not too hard or too soft. It is perfect to begin with.
|
|
Dry Beach Hotel
A nice island resort, well equipped as there is even a Petanque pitch near the swimming pool.
A quite hot sun is definitively here but its vacation time after all.
The barbecue is sizzling and you can also get some ice-cream if you feel like it.
The pitch is dry and fast. Be careful because balls tend to roll, and roll fast.
|
|
Egyptology
This is where the archaeologists in Egypt come to relax and play a game of Petanque.
The pitch has been setup right in the middle of some temples and sites of interest.
You can even see the tall pyramids behind the palm trees.
The pitch here is bit sandy and very soft...

|
Mothership Sundeck
Roxo the friendly extra-terrestrial being invites us on the deck of the mothership.
It is a well known fact that the E.T.s love playing petanque and are very well equipped.
From here you have the best view on Earth and the stars are beautiful.
The pitch itself is rather special. The ground is slightly bouncy and everything seems to happen in slow motion...
maybe the lower gravity has something to do with it...
